I recently had the opportunity to second shoot an absolute gorgeous wedding with the talented Sam Clayton. Even though rain was forecast for the day, it was like our prayers for sunshine had been answered and the day started out beautifully at Vicki’s dad’s house in Ravensthorpe. Vicki’s family and bridesmaids were so welcoming and friendly and you could just feel the energy and excitement in the house.
After capturing the girls getting ready and taking some photos of Vicki, her bridesmaids and her family in their gorgeous garden, we took a short drive down the gorgeous country lanes in Northamptonshire to St Mary the Virgin Church in Farthingstone where we were greeted by a lot of excitement. We also met Mark W Brown who was capturing the day on super 8mm cameras – check out his video of the day. The service was absolutely beautiful, Vicki looked stunning and you could feel the emotion and love that filled the church.
After the service and the couple portraits we then walked to The Joy Mead Gardens, which is where the reception was held and we were still lucky enough to have some sunshine for the guests to enjoy. The Marquee was decorated so beautifully and I love how quirky they both were with their table names. The speeches had everyone in tears, and I mean everyone (including me, but I have a camera and a lens to hide behind) and the first dance was absolutely beautiful. Vicki and John are such a sweet couple and I wish them so much happiness for their future ahead of them. I want to say a massive thank you to Sam for letting me come along – go check out her images from the day. I have been extremely lucky this year to be able to work with such talented individuals that are also extremely nice people.
